GOLOMB Kangaroo Striking Speed Bag

$445.00

The GOLOMB Kangaroo Striking Bag returns after 60 years. Once the professional standard, kangaroo leather's strength and lightweight properties made it the world's most desirable material for striking bags—until over-hunting in the 1960s led to a U.S. manufacturing ban that lasted decades.

When John Golomb ran striking bag production at Everlast in 1978, the Bronx factory produced 6,000 bags weekly. The Model 4200 retailed for $44—equivalent to $500 today.

Each bag is individually commissioned and handcrafted to order by John Golomb. A limited number of commissions are accepted at a time. Please allow approximately 8–12 weeks for completion.
